From Edmonton

The Highway 43 run from Edmonton is northern Alberta's great commute — through Whitecourt, Fox Creek and Valleyview into the Peace Country. Fuel at Whitecourt or Fox Creek, make Valleyview your meal stop, and watch for wildlife at dusk. To be clear on geography: Grande Prairie is a long way from Edmonton — this hotel is your destination or overnight base in Grande Prairie, not an Edmonton-area hotel.
From Calgary & Red Deer

From Calgary and Red Deer, take the QEII north and join Highway 43 west of Edmonton. It's a full day's drive, so a flexible IHG rate is smart if winter weather could shift your plans. Mile Zero of the Alaska Highway is a 90-minute drive west. The corridor carries steady two-way traffic: Montney crews, cross-border shoppers, teams and Alaska-bound road-trippers. Watch for the km/h change at the border and fill up on the Alberta side.
