What makes it special
Kleskun Hill preserves some of Alberta's northernmost badlands alongside native prairie that has never seen a plow — a rare ecosystem filled with spring wildflowers. Fossil-bearing layers hint at the same deep past showcased at the Currie Museum, though collecting is prohibited.
Visiting
A short trail network loops the formations, and the adjacent pioneer village preserves early homestead buildings. Sunset turns the bentonite slopes copper and pink — photographers, this is your hour. Wear grippy shoes; the clay is slick after rain.
Round it out
